Hiring.zycto invites passionate and skilled Radiographers to join our dedicated team in Sandiacre, Nottingham. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including General Radiography, CT scans, and potentially MRI scans, adhering strictly to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification, confirm clinical indications for examinations, and provide clear explanations of procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety.
  • Optimize image quality while minimizing radiation dose, utilizing advanced imaging techniques and equipment settings.
  • Maintain precise patient records and documentation within the departmental imaging and information systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, referring clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns promptly.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, professional codes of conduct, and company policies.

Required Skills

  • BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Proven experience working as a Radiographer, ideally with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with General Radiography and CT scanning.
  • Excellent understanding of radiation protection and safety protocols.
  • Strong technical proficiency in operating diagnostic imaging equipment.
  • Exceptional patient care skills, including empathy, clear communication, and the ability to reassure patients.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic imaging.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualification in a specialized area of radiography (e.g., CT, MRI, or advanced practice).
  • Experience with MRI scanning and associated safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems and electronic health records.
  • Experience in a busy acute hospital or private diagnostic imaging center setting.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) relevant to radiography.
