Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret complex logistics data, including transportation costs, delivery times, and inventory levels, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency across warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
- Forecast demand and manage inventory to prevent stockouts and minimise excess inventory, utilising advanced analytical tools and techniques.
- Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure favourable terms and consistent service levels.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., procurement, sales, finance) and external partners to streamline processes and resolve complex operational issues.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and compelling presentations on logistics performance, key metrics, and recommended strategic actions for senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and evolving regulatory changes in logistics and global supply chain management.
- Utilise enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and other logistics software to manage and track shipments, inventory, and orders efficiently.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Logistics Analyst or in a similar supply chain optimisation role.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of logistics principles, supply chain management methodologies, and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrable experience with ERP systems and other relevant logistics software platforms.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex data clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
