Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve the best value and favorable conditions.
- Manage and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with existing and new vendors.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new products, suppliers, and market trends.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock without overstocking or shortages.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, sales, engineering, finance) to understand purchasing needs.
- Implement and drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements within the procurement process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and relevant regulations.
- Resolve supply chain issues, delivery discrepancies, and quality problems with suppliers.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role
