Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities that support all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and development.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers, providing regular feedback on development.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in accordance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to team meetings and shared responsibilities.
  • Actively participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adaptable for children, parents, and staff.
  • Proven ability to plan and implement engaging educational activities.
  • Strong observational and assessment skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • A current paediatric first aid certificate.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Familiarity with digital record-keeping systems for child development.
