Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of property operations, including tenant relations, leasing, maintenance, and financial performance.
  • Oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs, conducting inspections and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
  • Prepare and administer lease agreements, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal housing laws.
  • Develop and manage property budgets, track expenses, collect rent, and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Coordinate and supervise property maintenance activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and quality control.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and aesthetic improvements.
  • Implement and enforce property policies and procedures to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
  • Market available properties and implement effective leasing strategies to minimize vacancies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with property owners, tenants, and community stakeholders.
  • Handle property emergencies and unexpected issues with professionalism and efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in property management.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse property portfolio (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).
  • Strong understanding of property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, RealPage).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and rent collection processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, including maintenance staff and administrative support.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM).
  • Experience with capital improvement projects and property renovations.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
