Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and regular stock takes.
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery and dispatch of products.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
- Train, supervise, and support a small team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in good working order, arranging repairs as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the warehouse workflow.
- Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics coordination role.
- Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading and collaborating effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (valid certification preferred but training can be provided).
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages as required in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Warehousing & Logistics or a related field.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
