Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) and regular stock takes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery and dispatch of products.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
  • Train, supervise, and support a small team of warehouse operatives, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all machinery is in good working order, arranging repairs as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the warehouse workflow.
  • Generate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics coordination role.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of leading and collaborating effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (valid certification preferred but training can be provided).
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move packages as required in a warehouse setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Warehousing & Logistics or a related field.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations.
