Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and meticulous Quality Assurance Technician to join our growing team in North Vancouver. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, tests, and analyses at various stages of the production process, from raw materials to finished goods. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential quality issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive quality inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities, deviations, and defects using established procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, quality data, and non-conformance reports.
  • Assist in the development, refinement, and implementation of new quality control procedures and standards.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain various testing and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
  • Participate in internal audits and support external audit processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all products and processes adhere strictly to company specifications, customer requirements, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with various quality control tools and measurement equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and collaboration.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fundamental knowledge of quality management systems and principles (e.g., ISO 9001).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or technical diploma in a related field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Quality Management).
  • Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician – CQT).
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods and software.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
