As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in various settings (home, community, clinic).
  • Collect accurate and objective data on client progress using established protocols and technology.
  • Provide direct 1:1 behavioral intervention to clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and therapeutic environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, parents, and other team members.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Model appropriate social and communication behaviors for clients.
  • Complete session notes and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification OR willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire (training provided).
  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (volunteer or professional).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Strong observational and analytical skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
  • Prior experience as a Behavior Technician or Paraprofessional.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with ABA data collection software.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
