Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in various settings (home, community, clinic).
- Collect accurate and objective data on client progress using established protocols and technology.
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral intervention to clients, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and therapeutic environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, parents, and other team members.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
- Ensure client confidentiality and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Model appropriate social and communication behaviors for clients.
- Complete session notes and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification OR willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire (training provided).
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (volunteer or professional).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Strong observational and analytical skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Behavior Technician or Paraprofessional.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with ABA data collection software.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
