Hiring.zycto is urgently seeking dedicated and physically capable Construction Labourers to join our thriving team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Assist skilled tradespersons such as carpenters, masons, electricians, and plumbers with their tasks.
- Perform general site clean-up and debris removal to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Operate basic hand and power tools including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, drills, and grinders safely and efficiently.
- Dig trenches, clear and level sites, and spread gravel or other materials as directed.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety regulations, policies, and procedures diligently.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding and barricades under supervision.
- Prepare sites for concrete pours, including formwork setup and rebar placement assistance.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within Coquitlam and surrounding areas.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Previous experience working on a construction site (6+ months preferred).
- Certification in Construction Safety (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
