Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various mechanical, electrical, electronic, and networked systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical hardware and software issues at customer locations, often under pressure.
  • Conduct thorough preventative maintenance inspections and perform necessary adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Provide comprehensive technical support and hands-on training to end-users on system operation, safety protocols, and basic maintenance procedures.
  • Accurately and promptly document all service activities, including problem resolution steps, parts used, time spent, and future recommendations, utilizing digital reporting systems.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain a personal inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment within a company vehicle.
  • Strictly adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations while performing duties at client sites.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, professional customer relationships through courteous conduct, clear communication, and reliable service delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal engineering, sales, and support teams to escalate complex issues and ensure comprehensive client solutions.
  • Travel regularly to various client sites within the designated service area, requiring independent scheduling and time management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Field Service Technician or in a closely related technical role.
  • Proven strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting intricate schematics, wiring diagrams, and comprehensive technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated experience with standard diagnostic tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges).
  • A valid driver's license and an impeccable driving record are mandatory.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a methodical approach to technical challenges.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective client interaction and teamwork.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage a demanding schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), bend, stoop, climb, and stand for extended periods in various work conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or a technical certification in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related engineering field.
  • Direct experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), or advanced industrial automation systems.
  • Foundational understanding of network connectivity, IP addressing, and basic IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience in a dedicated customer-facing service role, demonstrating conflict resolution and customer satisfaction skills.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification for general industry or construction.
