Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-dispensing tasks, ensuring efficient workflow.
- Manage inventory, including receiving, unpacking, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Organize and maintain the pharmacy area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
- Process patient prescriptions, including data entry and preparing labels, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Handle cash register operations, process payments, and manage co-pays accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries and directing them to the pharmacist when necessary.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations and pharmacy policies.
- Assist with the preparation and packaging of prescription orders for pickup or delivery.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and managing phone calls.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with POS systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or retail setting.

- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Assistant (where applicable by state law).
