As an Electrician Apprentice with Hiring.zycto, you will be immersed in a supportive and challenging environment designed to fast-track your learning and development. You’ll assist with various electrical installations, maintenance, and repair tasks across diverse settings, gaining exposure to both residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Learn and apply the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and local regulations under supervision.
- Prepare and clean work sites, ensuring all tools and materials are organized and safely stored.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for electrical malfunctions and help perform necessary repairs.
- Handle and install various electrical components, including conduits, cables, and fixtures.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently, as instructed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to advance your electrical knowledge and licensing.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed an accredited Electrician Apprentice program.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or trades-related role (e.g., general labourer).
- Familiarity with common electrical tools and equipment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
