Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs and policies in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on potential impacts and necessary adjustments to business operations.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide expert compliance advice and training to employees across various departments.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage all external compliance reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues, complaints, or breaches, ensuring timely and appropriate resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance activities, including policies, training, and incident logs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new products or services to ensure compliance from inception.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or similar role, preferably within a regulated industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant UK regulatory frameworks and legislative requirements (e.g., GDPR, FCA rules if applicable to industry).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and educating at all levels.
