Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Accurately gather and verify patient demographic, insurance, and medical information during pre-registration and registration.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtain necessary pre-authorizations or referrals.
  • Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other payments, explaining financial responsibilities clearly and empathetically.
  • Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures, ensuring proper documentation and coordination.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Resolve patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical staff, billing departments, and other administrative teams.
  • Ensure all required forms are completed accurately and signed by patients.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare administrative or customer service role.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and insurance verification processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).
