Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities, working with sales to determine suitability.
  • Coordinate the entire bid process from initial expression of interest to final submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Develop and maintain a bid library of standard content, case studies, and company information.
  • Liaise with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical content and ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Write and edit compelling proposal content, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to client requirements.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all bid documentation, proofreading for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
  • Organise and facilitate bid review meetings, capturing feedback and ensuring revisions are incorporated.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records of all bid activity and outcomes in our CRM system.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the bidding process.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in a bid coordination or proposal management role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to an advanced level.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APMP Foundation certification or equivalent.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and bid management software.
  • Knowledge of various industry sectors (e.g., public sector, construction, IT services).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
