Job Description

Hiring.zycto is searching for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Benefits Coordinator to join our Human Resources team with an immediate start. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring our employees understand and maximize their health, welfare, and retirement benefits. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries, playing a crucial role in employee satisfaction and retention. You will manage the day-to-day administration of various benefit programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits. This position requires someone who can seamlessly navigate complex benefit structures, effectively communicate intricate information, and maintain strict confidentiality. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and other voluntary plans.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and enrollment, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Process new hire benefit enrollments, status changes, qualifying life events, and terminations efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of annual open enrollment periods, including developing communication materials, coordinating vendor presentations, and facilitating employee meetings.
  • Reconcile benefit invoices and audit benefit deductions to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefit regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA) and company policies.
  • Collaborate with benefit brokers and vendors to resolve complex issues and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate benefit records, employee files, and HRIS data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Develop and deliver benefit orientation sessions for new employees and provide ongoing education to current employees.
  • Support the HR team with various administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in benefits administration or a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically.
  • High level of proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, SHRM-CP, HRCI-PHR).
