Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Loan Processor to join our thriving team in North Warren, PA. This critical role is the cornerstone of our lending operations, bridging the gap between loan origination and underwriting. As a Loan Processor, you will be instrumental in guiding applicants through the often-complex loan application process, ensuring all documentation is accurately compiled, verified, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will be responsible for reviewing loan applications for completeness, requesting and verifying necessary documentation such as income, assets, and credit reports, and liaising directly with borrowers, loan officers, and third-party vendors. A commitment to accuracy and a thorough understanding of lending guidelines are essential, as you will prepare comprehensive loan files for underwriter review, addressing any discrepancies or potential issues proactively. Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify loan applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documentation is submitted.
- Order and review third-party reports including appraisals, title searches, credit reports, and flood certifications.
- Communicate regularly with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to obtain missing information or resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain strict adherence to all federal, state, and local lending regulations and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive loan files for submission to underwriting, addressing any conditions or stipulations.
- Manage a pipeline of loan applications, ensuring timely processing and adherence to established service level agreements.
- Proactively identify potential issues and collaborate with relevant parties to find effective solutions.
- Assist in clearing conditions as required by underwriting and preparing files for closing.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in loan processing (mortgage or consumer lending).
- Strong understanding of loan processing procedures, real estate terminology, and industry regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document review and data entry.
- Proficiency in loan origination software (LOS) and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with specific LOS platforms such as Encompass, Calyx Point, or BytePro.
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional loan programs.
