Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise students in classrooms during the short-term absence of their regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students are engaged with the set tasks.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and manage any disruptions effectively, in line with school policies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Respond to student questions and provide support to keep them on task.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff regarding student progress or incidents.
  • Provide feedback on student engagement and completion of work to relevant teaching staff.

  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
