Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a motivated and dedicated Electrician Mate to join our thriving team in Lisvane, Cardiff. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
- Prepare work sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment.
- Perform basic wiring, cable pulling, and conduit installation under direct supervision.
- Load, unload, and transport electrical components and materials to and from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Provide general labour support, including drilling, trenching, and securing fixtures.
- Learn and apply fundamental electrical principles and practices through observation and hands-on tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and conducting routine inspections.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of electrical concepts and safety practices.
- Proficiency in using common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team.
- A keen desire to learn and develop a career in the electrical trade.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Electrical Installations) or working towards one.
- Previous experience working on construction sites or in a similar trades support role.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Basic First Aid certification.
