Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle from requisition to order placement and delivery.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance, quality, and prices to ensure best value.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers to secure optimal agreements.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Process purchase orders and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to forecast needs.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Resolve issues with suppliers regarding quality, delivery, and invoicing.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Solid knowledge of procurement best practices, principles, and procedures.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- CIPS qualification (or working towards it).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
