Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Coordinator to join our growing team in Downtown, Rochester Hills. This critical full-time role orchestrates the smooth and efficient flow of goods, ensuring products reach their destinations accurately and on schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, performing regular cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and prevent discrepancies.
- Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling carriers, preparing comprehensive shipping documents, and meticulously tracking deliveries to ensure timely arrival.
- Oversee order fulfillment processes, guaranteeing orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and efficiently according to established timelines and customer requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, customer service, warehouse operations) and external partners (suppliers, freight carriers) to proactively resolve any logistics-related issues or delays.
- Monitor key distribution performance metrics and actively identify areas for process improvement to enhance overall efficiency, reduce operational costs, and optimize service levels.
- Utilize inventory management systems (IMS) and other relevant software platforms to process transactions, generate detailed reports, and analyze data for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures within the distribution center operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a distribution, logistics, or supply chain coordination role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Exceptional organizational skills, a meticulous approach, and an unwavering attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic, high-volume operational environment.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and analytical approach to operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Hands-on experience with specific Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar enterprise-level platforms.
- Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and international shipping procedures.
