Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair duties across various trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, implementing effective and timely solutions.
  • Assist with construction, renovation, and installation projects as required.
  • Ensure all work is completed to high standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and maintain tools, equipment, and materials efficiently.
  • Provide clear communication on project status, issues, and solutions.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled operative or similar role.
  • Strong practical skills in at least three trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications in a trade discipline.
  • Experience working in a commercial or industrial maintenance setting.
  • Basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
  • First Aid certification.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification (desirable).
